What is Riftbound?
Riftbound is Riot Games' official League of Legends Trading Card Game, co-published with Universus Games. The first booster, Origins, released October 2025. It's a head-to-head paper TCG sold through standard hobby distribution and local game stores, with sanctioned events run through Riot's Riftbound event locator.
What are the Riftbound rules?
Each deck has a Legend (your champion identity), a Chosen Champion Unit, a 40-card main deck built from one or two of the six Domains, three face-up Battlefields, and a separate 12-card Rune deck. You win by reaching 8 Victory Points (earned by Conquering or Holding Battlefields), or by exhausting both of an opponent's Battlefields in a 1v1. The full official rulebook lives on the Riftbound section of Riot's site.
Full rules breakdownHow do you play Riftbound?
On your turn you draw Energy from your Rune deck, spend it (and sometimes Power) to play Units, Spells, and Gear into your row, then commit Units to fight over a face-up Battlefield. Combat resolves using each Unit's Might value (Riftbound's combined attack and HP stat). The /how-to-play page on this site walks through a sample turn and links to the official starter video.
Where can I find Riftbound decks and decklists?
Tournament Riftbound decklists are aggregated on this site's /decklists page, refreshed daily. Each deck card expands inline to show the full Legend, Champion, main deck, Battlefields, runes, and sideboard, with one-click TCGplayer buy links. The r/RiftboundTCG subreddit and Riot's Piltover Archive cross-post tournament-winning lists shortly after each event.
Browse tournament decklistsIs there a Riftbound deck builder?
A drag-and-drop builder for this site is in development at /builder. In the meantime, the official option is Riot's Piltover Archive (see below); Magical Meta and Riftbound.gg are popular community builders.
Deck builder guideWhat's the Riftbound meta tier list right now?
The Riftbound meta moves fast. Unleashed (UNL) reshuffled the top decks shortly after release, and Spiritforged (SFD) introduced new champion archetypes. For live tier rankings, the r/RiftboundTCG weekly meta thread, Mobalytics' top-decks page, and TCGFan's meta breakdowns track win-rates and tournament placements set-by-set. The /decklists page on this site mirrors tournament top-cut lists daily so you can see what's actually winning.
Current meta breakdownCan I play Riftbound online?
There is no official Riot-hosted digital client yet. Most online play runs through community TCG Arena (TTS/community builds). Search 'TCG Arena Riftbound' for the most active mod. Riot has acknowledged interest in a digital companion but has not announced a release window.
How to play Riftbound onlineAre there Riftbound tournaments and events near me?
Yes. Riot's official Riftbound event locator (locator.riftbound.uvsgames.com/events) lists sanctioned tournaments worldwide, from local store events to Regional Qualifiers and Cash Showdowns. Filter by region and date. After an event runs, check /decklists for the top-cut deck lists.
When does the next Riftbound set release?
The next Riftbound main set, Vendetta (VEN), is scheduled for Jul 31, 2026. The release roadmap above lists every set TCGplayer has catalogued, refreshed daily. Promo and starter products often appear in between main boosters.
What is the Piltover Archive?
Piltover Archive (piltoverarchive.com) is Riot's official Riftbound site, bundling the card gallery, deck builder, hand simulator, and tournament champion decks into one product. It complements text-search tools like this one: Piltover Archive owns the art, builder, and official source-of-truth; Riftbound.one focuses on filters, rules-text search, and TCGplayer prices.
Piltover Archive walkthroughWhat's the latest Riftbound set?
The most recent set indexed in this database is Unleashed (UNL). The Riftbound release roadmap on this page lists every set TCGplayer has catalogued, refreshed daily.
Where can I buy Riftbound cards and booster boxes?
Sealed product (Origins booster boxes, Unleashed booster boxes, Proving Grounds starter bundles) sells through Riot's distribution partners and most local game stores. Singles are listed on TCGplayer. Every card page on this site links directly to its TCGplayer product page with affiliate tagging. Buying through those links supports the database at no extra cost to you.
Is there a Riftbound ban list?
Yes. Riot's April 2026 Tournament Rules (section 601.3) define a banned list; known banned cards include Fight or Flight, Scrapheap, and Reaver's Row (all from the Jinx Champion Deck preconstructed product). At low-OPL events like Nexus Nights, players using the exact unmodified preconstructed deck contents may still include the banned cards that ship with the box.
